Old Girls v School Tennis - Friday 19th April 2024.

A rather damp and drizzly afternoon welcomed the two teams but undaunted, the match got underway. There were four pairs in each team and two rounds of matches were played with the 1st and 2nd pairs playing each other and then crossing over and the 3rd and 4th pairs playing each other and then crossing over.

The School 1st pair were in good form and won both their matches. However, the Old Girls were too experienced for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th pairs and the Old Girls retained the Tucker Cup by 6 matches to 2.

The players enjoyed a delicious tea before rushing off to enjoy their weekend and Sue Wolstenholme presented the cup to Sophia and Ellie as Captains of the team.

Thanks go to Brigitta Case for organsing the Old Girls, and to Emma Turner for selecting the girls to play for the School as well as making all the logisitical arrangements and organising the tea.

The School team was Helena U, Georgina H, Maya K, Eliza D, Amelie B, Rose R, Hannah M and Zara P.

The Old Girls team was Sophia Wise, Ellie Matthews, Emma Turner, Jo Vila, Cassidy Knowles, Tracey Mackey, Hiliary Hartley and Annabel Green.
