It was great to welcome OB Cat Haigh back to the School for the viewing of her film Women Behind the Wheel. Before the viewing, Cat was kind enough to spend time with the Sociology students and talk about what she experienced first hand while on her trip. Watching the film allowed us all to see a part of the world that little is known about, focusing on women's lives. 

The documentary is Cat and Hannah’s first feature-length film, five years in the making, and follows them as they undertake a treacherous road trip across Central Asia on a mission to uncover women’s stories in a region miles from their own. The route brings them to the doorsteps of women from all walks of life, revealing a women's movement that's had as many ups and downs as the drive itself.
