The Pressure Drop is a tale of love and tragedy, chance encounters and missed opportunities that will keep you hooked until the very last page.

The Pressure Drop

Have you ever had a story in your head that keeps going round and round? For years OB Peter Fincham (Greenes,1992) has sat on this idea, he could never seem to find the time to put pen to paper. But now, he has written his first novel and it has hit the shelves in physical and virtual format on Amazon.

It took a global pandemic for Pete to sit down and take some time for himself. He allocated 3 hours every day, would walk down to his local beach, find a sunny spot and write his book. Days when inspiration was low, Pete would research other items within the book to stay productive.

Before he knew it, Pete had his manuscript. Being the bold and brave man that he is Pete hired a professional editor. You need a thick skin for the criticism that comes from a professional editor; Pete took it well and says it helped him improve his writing dramatically.

"She was ruthless but at the end of it she told me that it was the best text she had read in a year and there was something there. I had to embrace her feedback - to not do so would have been not only a waste of money but supremely arrogant. " With this brutal feedback, Pete re-wrote his book and then let the women in his family take their turn. Ouch!

"Sometimes, things can be hard to hear. But in the case of this book, I have been extremely grateful for the feedback from those around me." Pete recognises that the professional help and criticism he received has made his book 10x better.
