Nicole Wood (New Stede, 2024) has had a really exciting and rewarding year, both academically and in sport, having recently completed her first year at the University of Birmingham as well as being selected to represent Scotland at the upcoming Commonwealth Games

This is an incredible opportunity and something she has been working towards for many years. Nicole's dad is Scottish, so it means a great deal to her to be able to represent Scotland, and she is especially proud to do so at a home Games.

As part of her preparation for the Games, she will be attending a training camp in Japan this summer. She is looking forward to gaining valuable experience, training at a high level, and preparing thoroughly for the competition.

'I am very grateful for all the support I have received from my club, family, and friends, and I am excited for what the rest of the year holds as I continue my preparations for the Junior European and World Championships.'
