OB Ollie Green Undertaking The Long March 80th Anniversary Charity Cycle Ride

Honouring the Past, Pedalling for the Future

From 5 - 8 May, OB Ollie Green (Reeves, 2015), along with family members and friends, will be taking on The Long March 80th Anniversary Charity Cycle Ride, commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the “Long March” of POWs.

In a heartfelt tribute to the courage and endurance of the thousands of British, Commonwealth, US and European prisoners of war (POWs) who were forced into the gruelling Long March during World War II (WWII), they have organised a charity bike ride to commemorate this significant historical event. This ride is not merely a physical journey, but a poignant reminder of the resilience and sacrifices of those who endured unimaginable hardships.

The team is made up of RAF veterans, friends and relatives of POWs including the son of one of the Great Escapers. Ollie will be joined by his parents, Stuart and Sally Green (Sally is driving the support vehicle). Also taking part are the parents of OBs Lucy and Ben Brazier (Reeves, 2015), and Charlie (Ashby, 2013) and James Insch (Ashby, 2015).

The team have set up a fundraising page for the following charities:

RAFA / RAF BF

Royal British Legion

Coventry Cathedral

Stalag Luft 3 Museum
