Jonty Driver Memorial Service

On Saturday 16th March we were honoured and delighted to welcome back over 100 Old Berkhamstedians, friends and family to celebrate the life of CJ (Jonty) Driver who passed away in 2023.

In a moving service, led by the School Chaplain Becky Taylor, reminisences were given by former Head Boys Jay Green and Paul Raudnitz with readings from Peter Williamson and Jonty's nephew Paul Hunt. A choir of OBs and local singers from St.Peters Church, led by Adrian Davis and accompanied on the organ by Charles Wooler, sung beautifully, both as a choir and as part of the congregation, in what was a poignant tribute to a great man.

Refreshments took place in Deans' Hall, with a group then heading for a tour of the new sixth form construction site, this was followed by lunch for 60 in Old Hall.

We thank everyone for their contribution and attendance on this special day.
