From a biscuit tin

With six boxes of assorted items piled up at the end of my desk, the plan was to loosely sort before we broke up for Easter.

With a few distractions, the task was completed and I’m now in the process of adding said items to the collection. Amongst the treasures, was an old ‘Peak Freans’ biscuit tin full to the brim with fixture lists and just the one selection book.

The items featured show the football fixtures for the Old Berkhamstedians, with the O.B.F.C. colours and different formats of card and miniature books.

The OB Rugby selection book dates from 1973 – 1977, with details of the players and matches.

The Berkhamsted School shooting fixtures, range from the 1894 season to the Rifle Volunteer Corps (2nd Volunteer Battalion Beds. Regiment) in 1899 and onto the O.T.C. fixture in 1935. We don’t have a huge amount of material for this category, so these were a welcome find.
